Northern Italy is a hotspot of under-23 racing with a strong spring calendar attracting teams from Europe and further afield. National level racing begins in February, but the season moves up a gear in April with three one-day UCI 1.2U races from 1-3 April 2018.
First up on 1 April is the 70th Trofeo Piva, whose organiser has already published a list of teams applying to compete in the race (see below). We can expect many of these teams to also take part in the following days’ Giro del Belvedere and 57th GP Palio del Recioto, although organisers of these races have not yet announced their applicants or participants.

[Update 6/12/2017: Zalf-Fior added to the above list]
[Update 26/12/2017: seven new additions; see race website for most up to date information]
Notable by their absence from the early applications is top Italian squad Zalf-EuroMobil-Desiree-Fior, but included are overseas squads Uno-X Hydrogen, Great Britain National Team and Dimension Data for Qhubeka Continental. Malaysian Continental team Sapura Cycling also make the trip to Europe to supplement their Asia Tour programme.
Many Northern European teams such as Lotto, SEG and Sunweb can be expected to race at the Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux in Belgium which runs at the same time as the Italian one-dayers.
Amendments, updates and proper startlists will follow as they’re announced by the organisers.
